Introduction:
A steward is someone entrusted with something that does not
belong to them, responsible for managing, overseeing, guiding, and directing
it. In today's scripture, I Corinthians 4:1-2 and II Timothy 4, Paul discusses
the qualities of being a good steward:
The Requirements of Being a Good Steward: Faithfulness
The Responsibilities of a Good Steward: Trustworthiness and
Sincerity
The Rewards of a Good Steward: Earthly Blessings and
Heavenly Crowns

A. A steward Must Be a Person of Faith
- Faith overcomes our fears in life.
- Faith overcomes our weaknesses.
- Faith overcomes the world.
- Faith overcomes failures.
B. A Steward Must Be Faithful
- Faithful in relationships.
- Faithful in responsibilities.
- Faithful in the race set before them.
C. A Steward Must Be Fruitful (John 15)
- Abiding in Christ.
- Being available for God and His work.
- Being active in duty.
D. A Steward Must Be a Fighter
- They ought to be courageous.
- They ought to be confident.
- They ought to be committed.
E. A Steward Must Be a Good Finisher
- They must stay in the will of God.
- Saturate their hearts with the Word of God.
- Separate themselves from the wrong crowd.
Conclusion:
In conclusion, being a good steward involves faithfulness,
trustworthiness, and sincerity. It means abiding in Christ, being available and
active in His work, and demonstrating courage and commitment. To be a good
finisher, we must stay in the will of God, immerse our hearts in His Word, and
choose our associations wisely. As we strive to be good stewards, we can
anticipate both earthly blessings and heavenly rewards.
