Reflection on the Cross
Man of sorrows what a name
For the Son of God who came
Ruined sinners to reclaim
Hallelujah what a Savior
Bearing shame and Scoffing rude
In my place condemned He stood
Sealed my pardon with His blood
Hallelujah what a Savior
Jesus keep me near the cross
There a precious fountain
Free to all a healing stream
Flows from Calvary's mountain
In the cross in the cross be my glory ever
Till my raptured soul shall find
Rest beyond the river
On a hill far away stood an old rugged cross
The emblem of suffering and shame
And I loved the old cross
Where the dearest and best
For a world of lost sinners was slain
So I'll cherish the old rugged cross
Till my trophies at last I lay down
I will cling to the old Rugged Cross
And exchange it someday for a crown
Jesus keep me near the cross
Near the cross
