Romans 1:14-16

Introduction:


Paul's message: "Don't be hindered" by anything that makes you unprofitable for God.

I. Overcoming Weaknesses (Romans 1:14-16)

A. Don't allow your weakness to hinder you in serving the Lord.

Common Weaknesses:

  • Fear of the unknown.
  • Easily discouraged.
  • Laziness in Christian responsibilities.
  • Emotional struggles.

II. Choosing the Right Company (2 Corinthians 6:14-18)

B. Don't allow the wrong crowd to hinder you in following the Lord.

Examine Your:

  • Attachments (Friends, Boy/Girl Friends).
  • Activities (books, music, places).
  • Attire and appearance (where are you identified?).

III. Commitment to a Godly Life

C. Don't allow the wickedness of this world to hinder you in living for the Lord.

  • Be committed to living for the Lord.
  • Be careful of your desires.
  • Be faithful to your calling.

IV. Trusting in God's Promises

D. Don't allow worries about tomorrow to hinder your trust in God.

Remember God's promises (Matt. 6:33, Phil. 4:6-8, Matt. 11:22).

Response: "We Must"

  • Be positive in your faith.
  • Believe in God's principles.
  • Be fervent in preaching God's Word.

V. Prioritizing God in Your Life (Matt. 6:33)

E. Don't allow your worship to be hindered by work or anything.

  • Prioritize God first.
  • Understand the purpose of your life.
  • Value the principles of God.

VI. Avoiding Greediness (I Cor. 16:1-2)

F. Don't allow the spirit of greediness to hinder your support for God's work.

  • Be prepared, 
  • Be positive
  • Be progressive.

VII. Overcoming Criticism

G. Don't allow criticism to hinder your obedience to God.

  • Trust in God's guidance.
  • Fulfill the will of God in your life.

Conclusion:

In living an unhindered life for God, let us continually strive to overcome weaknesses, choose godly company, commit to a righteous life, trust in God's promises, prioritize Him above all, avoid greediness, and overcome criticism. By doing so, we become instruments of God's love and salvation for the lost. May our lives be a testament to the power of an unhindered faith in Christ.
