How to Have a Good Spirit in the Service of God?
Things that David Speaks About in Psalm 73:1-28
I. He speaks about God.
1. God is good all the time.
2. God is faithful in saving people.
• God is faithful in answering our prayers.
• God is faithful in forgiving our sins. Many times we were unfaithful to God but still God is faithful to us.
• God is faithful in providing our needs. We have to thank God for providing always our daily needs.
II. David speaks about himself.
• David was so honest of accepting his sins and failures. He was honest that sometimes he felt pity to himself. Every time he sees the prosperity of the wicked he was jealous and felt envy to them. Sometimes Christians are like that they became self pity because their concentration and focused are on the material things that other people had and they don’t have. Let us always remember that God has his own way of providing our needs and giving us blessings.
III. David speaks about other people.
• He speaks that other people are wicked and being proud of what they have. David said that when you look at other people with their material things you could say that as if they need nothing and they have every thing, but after that he went to the sanctuary of the Lord he realized that you had a great need in their life and that is the salvation of the Lord.
IV. David speaks about the House of God.
• He speaks about the importance of the house of God and opportunity of serving God. In the house of God you can hear the preaching of the Word of God. The opportunity of serving God is when we are still alive.
LET US SERVE GOD WHILE WE ARE STILL ALIVE. WE DON’T KNOW ABOUT TOMORROW, TODAY IS THE TIME AND OPPORTUNITY TO SERVE HIM.
