 A Dangerous Journey

LUKE 15:11-27

 

 

A FAR country

As far as the Bible is Concern:

• It is a place of Wandering (aimless)
• It is a place of Wicked Living
• It is a place of Wastefulness
• It is a place of Wantonness (Unruly, Undisciplined, merciless and extravagant)
• It is a place without Worship
• It is a place without the preaching of the Word of God 

Why it is a very dangerous Journey?

A. It is because he will be going to the Wrong Place

Away from home, from his parents and away from good people.

Look at "What he did not realized."  "And when came to himself" V.17

Ø  The Decision that he made

Ø  The Direction he wants to go

Ø  The Desire that he wants to live and experience

Ø  The Deception that he was not prepared of

Ø  The Destruction of his life that he did not expect to happen

Ø  The only Deliverance he had (Go back)

 

 A. It is because he will be going to the Wrong Place.

Ø  A place without God

Ø  A place without Preaching

Ø  A place without Safety

Ø  A place without Joy

 

 B. It is because he will be around with the Wrong Crowd.

·         A crowd who does not believed in God.

·         A crowd who are not concerned about the things of God.

·         A crowd who does not honor their life and bodies before God.

 

C. He will be doing the wrong kind of Pleasures that God hated.

D. He will be out of the Purpose of God in his life.

E. He will be away from the Presence of the Lord.
